Forget Viva Magenta – spring greens are set to take over your wardrobe next season

While Pantone’s colour of the year created a flurry of trend predictions late last year, one look at spring/summer 2023’s sartorial offerings and it’s clear that the influence of 2021’s ‘Bottega green’ is still dominating the fashion world. With Fendi’s collection showcasing splashes of edamame, sage and pistachio and Rejina Pyo debuting paler artichoke-inspired looks, spring greens are set to be everywhere – suitably fitting as we impatiently wait for the change of season.

Inspired by the runway’s herbivorous shades? Zara’s zesty lime flowy trousers (£49.99) along with Marks & Spencer’s more tailored offering (£35) and its matching blazer (£65) will make for an effortless office-appropriate outfit once the weather thaws, but if you’re feeling the chill, Never Fully Dressed’s long fringed cardigan (£129) is the solution to chic WFH layering. For those who can’t get enough of apple green, M&S’ twill coat (£69) and H&M’s oversized jumper (£24.99) will brighten up grey days, although we’re saving & Other Stories’ midi dress (£95) for the not-too-distant trio of May bank holidays. Meanwhile, Nike’s ‘alligator green’ sweats (£54.95) channel Pyo’s calming shades, and muted leek hues are on offer at both Omnes (£75) and La Redoute (£50). We can’t think of a better way to get our five-a-day.
