THE STYLIST GROUP TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating all claimants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

2. The Supplier: Please see each individual promotion for details of the prize supplier.

3. Eligibility: This prize promotion is open to UK residents (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over, excluding employees and their immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent and/or “step” family), of The Promoter, associated agents or anyone professionally connected with the prize promotion.

6. Only one entry per person per prize promotion unless otherwise stated in the individual promotion. All additional entries will be disqualified.

7. Any entries that the Promoter consider (in our absolute discretion) to be dangerous, vulgar, offensive, indecent, illegal racist, copied, offensive, cruel or fraudulent, or infringe on the rights or copyright of others will be immediately disqualified.

8. No third party or bulk entries. If it becomes apparent that either a participant or household is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, multiple email accounts, multiple reproduced or computer-generated entries, using multiple identities, fraudulently falsifying data, acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the promoter or otherwise acting in violation of these terms, these participants will be disqualified, and any prize entitlement will be void.

Incomplete, illegible, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery or receipt. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are incomplete, lost due to technical reasons, corrupted, delayed, wrongly delivered, or not received for whatsoever reason.

10. Winner Selection: Prize draw winner (s)will be randomly selected by a computerised random generator from all entries. Skills based entries shall be judged based on the judging criteria, set out in the promotion, by a panel which shall include one judge independent to the Promoter.

11. Winner Notification: The winners will be notified by email via the account provided at point of entry within 24 hours of the closing date and will have 24 hours from notification to claim their prize. If a winner does not claim their prize within this timeframe the promoter reserves the right to withdraw prize entitlement and will award the prize to a reserve drawn at the same time as the original.

12. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the prize promotion and acceptance of the prize. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.

13. General: Promoter’s decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.

14. Prizes must be accepted as offered by the named winner. There is no cash or alternative prizes, in whole or part. The prizes are not transferable and cannot be resold.

15. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should circumstances outside its control make this necessary.

16. The Promoter reserves the right to verify winners and ask for proof of identity, age and address and to withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions.

17. You agree that if you are a winner, you will take part in and co-operate fully with reasonable publicity and to the use of your name, photograph and any comments in such publicity without any fee being payable.

18. By entering the Promotion, each entrant grants the Promoter a world-wide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty free and sub-licensable right and licence to use reproduce, modify, adapt, publish or display (in whole or in part) any intellectual property contained in the content of their entry, without royalty, payment or other compensation. Each Entrant agrees not to assert any moral rights in relation to such use and warrants that they have full authority to grant such rights.

19. The name and county of the winners can be obtained by sending an email, 28 days after the prize promotion closing date, to marketing@stylist.co.uk.

20. The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to eliminate or disqualify any entries or entrants that it regards as being in breach of these terms and conditions or the spirit of the Promotion. Those who try to circumvent the entry process and/or entry instructions by any method, will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.

21. Entry into the Promotion is at the entrant’s sole risk. To the extent permitted by law, neither the Promoter nor Supplier accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, costs, expenses or claims (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) suffered by entrants or any third parties arising out of or in connection with the Promotion and/or accepting a prize. The Promoter and Supplier further disclaim liability for any injury or damage to entrants or any other person relating to or resulting from participation with this Promotion save that nothing in these terms and conditions shall act to limit or exclude the Promoter and Supplier’s liability resulting from its negligence or fraud.

22. If for any reason, the Promotion is not capable of running as planned for reasons (including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion), the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion.

23. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which are beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.

24. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for system errors or other issues that may result in disruption to, lost, delayed or not received entries, winner notifications or prizes. The Promoter, the Supplier or its agencies will not be responsible for the non-inclusion of entries as a result of technical failures or otherwise, including any such failure which is within the control of The Promoter or its agencies.

25. Where a prize is provided by a Supplier, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for inaccuracy of any prize description, and The Supplier is responsible for prize fulfilment.

26. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

27. The Promoter and the Supplier reserve the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid consumer disappointment.

28. The decisions of the Promoter are final and binding in all matters relating to the Promotion and no correspondence will be entered into.

29. The Promotion and these terms and conditions, and any disputes arising therefrom, shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.

30. Data Protection: Any personal information that entrants share with the Promoter will be kept secure and only used in line with these terms and conditions unless the entrant has opted in to future marketing from the Promoter and/or the Supplier. By entering the promotion, entrants agree that their information may be used by the Promoter to administer the promotion and winners consent to give their name and county for the winners’ list.

Terms and conditions for Sky News Big Ideas Live

1. Who we are and about these terms

1.1 Sky News Big Ideas Live (“The Event”) is operated by Sky UK Limited (“we, our, us*), a company registered in England and Wales with the company number 2906991 and whose registered office is at Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 5QD. Our VAT number is 440 6274 67.

1.2 These terms and conditions apply to the agreement between you and us. These terms and conditions are available in the English language only.

1.3 By booking tickets for the Event, you are deemed to accept these terms and conditions. You should read them carefully before making a booking. We recommend you save a copy of them for your future reference.

2. The Event

2.1 In order to get the most from the Event you should ensure you arrive promptly.

2.2 You acknowledge that the venue, timings, speakers and programme of the Event may be subject to changes and that we accept no liability, save for a refund of the purchase price of any tickets as set out in Clause 5 below, for postponement, cancellation or delay to the Event.

2.3 In the interest of the safety and comfort for all our guests you acknowledge that admission to the Event is subject to strict security arrangements and that we may conduct security checks including, but not limited to, checks of the ticket holder’s person and/or x-ray scans of clothing, bags and other items as determined by us, prior to your entering the venue.

2.4 Unless specifically agreed at the time with door staff at the Event, no readmittance will be permitted if you leave the venue during or after the Event.

2.4 Alcohol may only be consumed in public bars and other authorised areas. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the venue.

3. Acceptable behaviour

3.1 You acknowledge that the venue may be located close to residential properties and that whilst arriving at and leaving the venue, you will at all times act in a considerate manner, including by not parking inappropriately or illegally, and will not cause any unnecessary disturbance to the residents of the surrounding area to the venue.

3.2 We reserve the right to refuse admission to the Event in reasonable circumstances including for health and safety, licensing reasons or where a ticket is void.

3.3 We also reserve the right to request that you leave the venue at any point on reasonable grounds and may take any appropriate action to enforce this right. By way of example, we may request that you leave if you:

i) behave in the Venue in a manner which, in our reasonable opinion has, or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other visitors; or

ii) use threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provoke or behave in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace; or

iii) in our reasonable opinion you are acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs; or

iv) fail, when required, to produce proof of your identity or that you are aged 18 or over.

You must comply with instructions and directions given by Venue staff and stewards.

No refunds will be given to Ticket holders who are refused entry or ejected due to their own behaviour as suggested in, but not limited to, the examples above.

3.4 Ticket holders accept that they will be held liable for the full cost of repair resulting from any damage caused to any part of the structure, fixtures or fittings of the venue, whether negligently, recklessly or intentionally caused by that person whilst attending the Event.

3.5 The unauthorised use of photographic and recording equipment is prohibited at the Event. Restrictions on items which may be taken into the venue may also apply (e.g. your own food and drink). You are advised to check any such restrictions before booking.

4. Tickets

4.1 To purchase tickets for, and to attend the Event you must be aged 18 years or over (proof of age and appropriate identification cards may be required to be shown at the Event).

4.2 Tickets for the Event must be purchased online through our ticketing agent’s platform, which you can access via skynews.com/bigideaslive and are subject to the agent’s terms and conditions which will form part of our agreement with you. When booking tickets to the Event, full payment of the ticket fee is required at the time we accept your booking.

4.3 Payment can only be made by credit or debit card. Cash or cheques will not be accepted.

4.4 Tickets are sold on a first-come-first-served basis.

4.5 All purchased tickets for the Event are non-transferable and must not be resold or passed on for commercial gain.

5. Refunds and cancellation

5.1 If you do not attend the Event the ticket fee will not be refunded.

5.2 We may cancel or reschedule the Event at any time prior to its commencement. If we do so, then except as set out in clause 5.5 below, we will offer you a choice of a refund of the full price of your ticket or the transfer of your ticket to the rescheduled event. We shall not be responsible for any extra costs you may incur as a result of the cancellation or rescheduling of the Event.

5.3 There is no entitlement to a refund where we are forced to cancel part or all of the Event due to reasons beyond our reasonable control. However, refunds may be given at our discretion.

5.4 We regret we cannot offer refunds where we have to make changes as described in section 2.2 above.

5.5 You do not benefit from a legal cooling off period for bookings for the Event.

6. Our liability to you

6.1 Nothing excludes or limits our liability for personal injury or death due to our negligence. You have certain rights under the law, for example that we will provide the Event with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms will affect these rights.

6.2 Please ensure you take care of your personal possessions as we cannot accept any liability for them unless loss or damage is caused by our negligence.

6.3 Except as stated in section 6.1, we are not responsible for:

(i) losses not caused by our breach;

(ii) indirect losses which means loss to you which is a side effect of the main loss or damage and where you and we could not have reasonably anticipated that type of loss arising at the time of entering into this agreement;

(iii) failure to meet any of our obligations where such failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control; or

(iv) any increase in any loss or damage which results from breach by you of any of these terms and conditions or your negligence.

6.4 Except as stated above in this section 6, Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have actually paid for tickets to the Event and we shall not be liable for any loss of enjoyment or wasted expenditure. Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to the Event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk.

6.5 You are responsible for your transport to and from the Event and other costs not specifically included in the price of the Event ticket (such as drinks, snacks and meals not included in the price).

7. Privacy & Data Protection

7.1 Any data we, or our agents collect from you will be used for the purpose of supplying tickets for and administration to the Event. We may also use any contact details you provide to notify you of future Sky News events. You can unsubscribe to such notifications by following the instructions detailed in any notice we send. All data collected by us, or our agents will be processed in accordance with relevant data protection regulations.

7.2 The Event will be recorded and some or all of the Event content may be broadcast live across TV, digital and social platforms. Where you elect to participate or contribute in the Event (e.g. asking a question during a Q&A session – including sharing audio and/or video of you when participating in the Event) you consent to your inclusion in any such broadcast or recording.

7.3 By attending the Event you acknowledge that we may make recordings by still or moving cameras and sound recordings of yourself as a member of the audience and that you consent to such recordings.

7.4 All copyright in any recordings we make during the Event and any other contribution you make belongs to Sky UK Ltd, which retains the right to re-use, broadcast, publish and re-distribute the material worldwide in the future, without seeking further consent and without payment.

8. Health and Safety

8.1 You must comply with all relevant statutes, safety announcements and venue regulations whilst attending the Event.

8.2 The Event will adhere to relevant COVID-19 guidelines. You should only attend if you are in good health. You should not attend if you have any symptoms, including a new ongoing cough or fever, a change to normal taste or smell, or you have been advised to self-isolate.

8.3 Refreshments will be available to purchase at the Event. We are unable to cater for all dietary requirements, so if you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements, please check the labelling on any products before purchase.

8.4 If you have any specific accessibility requirements or have any other special requirements or concerns about any special effects which may feature at the Event, prior notice should be provided when booking tickets. 9. General

9.1 These terms and conditions are a contract between you and us. No other person shall have any right to enforce any of the terms.

9.2 Each of the paragraphs of these terms and conditions operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

9.3 We may revise our terms and conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes in relevant laws or regulatory requirements or improvements we make to the Event and any related services.

9.4 This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the parties agree that the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to this agreement.
