Gregor Fisher shot to fame playing Glasgow’s most infamous son but he has signalled that he might have donned his grimy string vest for the final time.
Rab C Nesbitt, the belligerent, booze-soaked slob, became a huge hit almost 30 years ago. The show ran for ten series, attracted millions of viewers and spawned a host of spin-off specials.
Now Mr Fisher, 62, has suggested that the malingering street philosopher is unlikely to return to our screens. He told Scottish Field magazine: “I enjoyed playing Rab. But I don’t miss running around Glasgow in a string vest with my nipples hanging out.”
