What is it? A London-based, sustainably-focused flower club which delivers local, seasonal stems to your door every fortnight – and already has fans including Laura Jackson and Lucy Williams.
Who’s behind it? Former creative producer and stylist Vicki Baker, who turned her love of flowers into a full-time business during the pandemic – with the name itself born out of a lockdown-induced Zoom drink with friends. “I wanted something that represented both the DIY element, and also the minimal interference the flowers have before customers receive them. It fit perfectly – un-arranged, imperfect flowers, gloriously local and seasonal, delivered almost as they come from the field,” Vicki tells Stylist Loves.
Why you’ll love it: Aspire to nail the cottagecore aesthetic of a perfectly-imperfect vase of freshly-cut flowers, but don’t have a garden? Uncut Stems is here to help. “Our goal is to educate on seasonality and the true life cycle of a flower,” says Vicki, who nominates “anything daisy-like – asters, feverfew, wild daisies” as her favourite type of bloom. Each bi-weekly delivery features a thoughtful collection of seasonal flowers and foliage, along with details on each stem and styling tips. Initial subscriptions sold out in record time, but more will become available on 23 September and you can join the waitlist now. In the meantime, spare buckets are released weekly to help avoid unnecessary waste – the ideal way to try before you commit.
