What She Loves: Candice Carty-Williams
The award-winning author of Queenie, whose debut YA novel Empress & Aniya is published today, shares her current obsessions

Crosta & Mollica Margherita Pizza
“The other day I visited my friend, who had this pizza in her freezer. I thought, ‘I’ll just have one slice’, and then I ate half, and now I always need one in my freezer. This is my favourite flavour – it tastes like a fresh pizza, or like you’ve cooked it in your house.” £4.10, Waitrose

Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Facial Serum
“I’ve never, ever been able to move away from very basic skincare products because my skin gets agitated, but Hydraluron has been the most amazing source of hydration. My skin is a lot plumper, fuller and brighter. I swear by it.” £20.83, LookFantastic

Jim + Henry Organic Hair Cleanse
“Organic cleanses have changed my hair. They clean it but don’t strip it of anything. This one is called Nine because there are only nine organic ingredients in it. It’s really fresh, really clean and goes a really long way.” £18, Jim + Henry

The Transgender Issue: An Argument For Justice by Shon Faye
“I’m really enjoying reading this. It feels like a sharing of human experience and that’s always what I look for, in particular with non-fiction. It’s one of the best educations I’ve had on something I don’t know enough about.” £20, Bookshop.org

Manners London
“This brand is by an amazing woman called Sally who makes clothing for women of many sizes. Everything is really comfy but made so that you don’t have to wear a bra – and any opportunity to go braless is a win in all of our books. I bought two tracksuits recently, and the compliments I get have been very fulsome.” From £22, Manners London

Candice will be in conversation with Charlie Brinkhurst-Cuff at the London Literature Festival on Saturday 23 October – find out more here.

H&M Home's new collaboration with global female artists is a celebration of womanhood

Since H&M Home first launched in 2009, it’s collaborated with just two designers: Jonathan Adler in 2019 and earlier this year, Diane Von Furstenberg. So you’d be forgiven for thinking the Swedish high street brand would tap another big name on the shoulder when the collaboration itch struck again – but you’d be wrong…

Launching today, For The Love Of Art spotlights three talented female artists, each tasked with putting their unique spin on some of the brand’s most popular pieces. The French creative duo known as Sacrée Frangine (artists Célia Amroune and Aline Kpade) have applied their minimalist paintings to a handful of ceramics, while the signature silhouettes of Italian-Nigerian illustrator Diana Ejaita have been unleashed on soft furnishings. Your walls haven’t been forgotten, thanks to Brazilian artist Brunna Mancuso – known for her expressive works that celebrate women – who’s created six illustrated portraits using watercolour, gouache and acrylic. We suggest heading straight for Ejaita’s embroidered cushion cover (£29.99) that’s ideal for brightening up a boring sofa, making space on your gallery wall for Mancuso’s monochrome line drawing (£19.99), and adding as many of Sacrée Frangine’s tonal stoneware vases (from £29.99) as possible to your cart for future birthday presents. An autumn home makeover that supports female artists? We love to see it. From £17.99; hm.com
