| Zara just teamed up with this cult Dutch label for its first designer collaboration | Unlike some of its high street neighbours, Zara hasn’t made a habit of hooking up with luxury brands for headline-grabbing collections. Now, for its first ever limited-edition designer collaboration, the Spanish super-retailer has chosen a relatively underground label: Amsterdam-based design studio Kassl Editions. Known for its minimalist, genderless aesthetic and made-to-last ethos, Kassl creates cult homewares as well as clothing and accessories, and is often sold alongside labels such as Celine and Bottega Veneta. Its well-cut trench coats and signature Pillow bags – aka the style that launched a thousand copycats – are favourites of fashion editors and serious design obsessives alike.
If you’re struggling to accept the end of summer, Kassl’s autumn-ready collection with Zara – featuring striking coats in navy wool and lacquered burgundy linen (£259 each), minimalist cotton sweatshirts (£29.99 each) and comfy wide-leg trousers (£49.99) – will have you feeling ready for the new season. The offering for interiors is equally stylish: from collections of abstract mini art prints (from £29.99 for six) to design-classic padded armchairs (£499.99 each), each piece is as effortlessly modern as the next. Prepare to come away with a wish list as long as your arm… From £29.99, zara.com and zarahome.com

| Liane Moriarty’s latest blockbuster novel is a thrilling exploration of family secrets | If you’ve just binged Nine Perfect Strangers on Amazon Prime and are craving another of Liane Moriarty’s twisted mysteries, you’re in luck. The bestselling author behind Big Little Lies is back with her latest novel Apples Never Fall (Michael Joseph), a compelling family drama that’s already destined for the small screen. Out today, the novel introduces us to Stan and Joy Delaney, an apparently blissfully happy septuagenarian couple. But when Joy suddenly disappears, their four grown-up children are forced to consider that their parents’ relationship might not have been what it appeared.
“I devoured this book in a single weekend,” says Stylist’s digital editor-at-large Kayleigh Dray. “Much like Moriarty’s other titles, it tempers its dark storyline with sugary sweetness, making it as fun as it is addictive. The twists and turns kept me guessing right until the end, and I challenge any armchair detectives to figure out what happened to Joy before the truth is revealed. It’s the kind of ending that makes you want to go back and read the whole thing again, just to spot the clues you missed along the way. Fair warning: stock up on the coffee, as you’re guaranteed to want to do ‘just one more chapter’ every night before bed.” £20, Bookshop.org
