| This anti-racism charity cookbook is a tribute to East and South-East Asian food | Back in March, amid a wave of hate crimes against Asian-Americans, eight people – six of them women of Asian descent – were killed in a series of mass shootings in Georgia. The violence captured the world’s attention, but sadly, it wasn’t specific to the US. In May 2020, MPs were told that hate crimes against the East and South-East Asian (ESEA) community had risen by 21% in the UK, fuelled by xenophobia related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In light of these disturbing statistics, Londoners Claire Sachiko Fourel and Lex Shu Chan (aka Sachiko & Shu) have launched online charity cookbook Recipes Against Racism. Bringing together recipes from some of London’s leading Asian and Asian-influenced restaurants and supper clubs – including Chinese Laundry, Farang, Lucky & Joy, Kiln and Sarap – the book is both a beautiful celebration of Asian food and culture and a practical way to support the UK ESEA community, with 100% of proceeds going to anti-racism charities End the Virus of Racism and Stop Hate UK. All that’s left to do is hit download, make a suggested donation of £10 and prepare for a knockout dinner party… Find out more

| We all want to dress like we’re in The Pursuit Of Love – here’s how | If you’ve caught The Pursuit Of Love on BBC One, you’ll likely have been hooked on more than the storyline. Set between the 1920s and 30s, the series’ fashion (overseen by costume designer Sinéad Kidao) is a dazzling mix of English elegance, rural scruffiness and bohemian glamour: think floral tea dresses under woollen cardigans, silk blouses tucked into tweed pencil skirts and lots of fur-trimmed coats.
Keen to channel the show’s pre-war style? On the accessories front, Jayley’s detachable Mongolian fur collar (from £20.80), available in nine colours, is pure Pursuit. Selected Femme’s wide-brimmed straw hat (£38) will see you through summer – although the brand’s Alconleigh-ready cardigans (£65 each) are probably more suited to the typically British weather we’re currently enduring. Yumi Curve’s green pussy-bow blouse (£35) is reminiscent of a piece worn by Fanny, but we also love this pink version by Max Studio (£60). And if the series has left you fantasising about tea dresses, go for Oliver Bonas’ floral orange midi (£79.50) or Violeta By Mango’s ruffled blue style (£59.99). Eat your heart out, Linda Radlett.
