Already feeling socially fatigued? Recharge your batteries with a star-studded version of this iconic play

After not being allowed to see friends and family for such a long time, we don’t blame you if you’ve overdone it with non-stop outdoor catch-ups over the past 10 days and are already feeling socially wrung out. If like us, you fancy some last-minute quality time with your sofa before your diary well and truly revs up next week, consider a night in with the Young Vic’s 2017 production of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Starring Sienna Miller as the eternally frustrated heroine Maggie, and Jack O’Connell as her repressed, alcoholic husband Brick, Williams’ powerful play tells the story of a Mississippi family’s fight for survival as a web of lies starts to unravel at patriarch Big Daddy’s birthday celebration. The sell-out production received glowing reviews but if you didn’t get a chance to see Miller excel with Maggie’s famous “the cat is alive!” monologue, you can now watch the production online via the National Theatre’s streaming service. Even better, you won’t be coughing up West End ticket prices to see the show, just the cost of an NT At Home subscription. Intermission snacks at the ready… Available until 9 March 2022; from £8.32

Get on top of your finances at Stylist’s Money Rally this weekend

If you’ve ever avoided opening your banking app because you don’t want to risk getting a glimpse of the balance, you’ll know that money can be stressful. But just like any relationship, our rapport with our finances isn’t set in stone – and the sooner we develop a healthy attitude to saving, budgeting and investing, the better. That’s why Stylist is teaming up with SmartPurse to host Money Rally: a day of exclusive virtual discussions and workshops to help you approach your finances with the self-assurance of Lizzo on the red carpet.

Join us this Saturday as we discuss how to form good habits, develop financial confidence and plan for the future. With practical expert-led workshops on subjects such as overcoming debt and boosting your investments, plus candid panel discussions with guests including Gemma Cairney and Ruby Wax, you’ll get the inside track on managing your money. By the end of the event, you’ll have a financial plan for the next six months, a virtual goody bag and much more – and for every ticket sold, SmartPurse will donate free access to its digital money school to a woman who’s experienced financial abuse. Now that’s a positive investment we can get behind. 10 April, 10am-3pm; £9
